It’s not uncommon to find silverfish in your home, especially when cleaning. These small, silver-colored insects, also known as Lepisma saccharina, prefer damp, dark corners like those in bathrooms or near bookcases. Although harmless, silverfish can reproduce rapidly and become a nuisance. Here’s how to get rid of them for good:
1.Use Lavender Oil: Silverfish are repelled by the scent of lavender. To deter them, place a few drops of lavender essential oil in the corners of your home where silverfish are commonly found. You can also use lavender sachets or bags to enhance the aroma. Within a couple of days, you should notice a decrease in these pests.
