Hasselback Caprese Tomatoes

Directions:

  1. Marinate Cheese: In a small bowl, combine the mozzarella, olive oil, Italian seasoning, and salt. Season to taste with pepper. Let the mixture marinate while you prepare the tomatoes.
  2. Prepare Tomatoes: Slice each tomato crosswise, like an accordion, making sure not to cut all the way through.
  3. Assemble: Place the cut tomatoes on a serving platter. Insert the marinated cheese slices and pieces of torn basil into each slit.
  4. Finish and Serve: Drizzle the tomatoes with balsamic glaze before serving.
